The course is of interest to practitioners in business, environmental sciences, agriculture, tourism and more. It is also useful for instructors developing a new forecasting analytics course. The text for the course is my recent book Practical Time Series Forecasting: A Hands-On Guide.

"Internet Data Collection for Research" now publicly available
To benefit researchers who collect data from the web, or using Web technologies, I decided to make public all my materials from a PhD-level course on "Internet Data Collection for Research" (offered at UMD as "Scientific Data Collection for Business"). These can be found at https://sites.google.com/site/internetdatacollection/
The site contains all presentations, resources, and even weekly assignments. I hope that democratizing more knowledge will help improve business-related research.
